Chicken little manglers at UPS
I guess the manglers are tooooo busy to respond to the posts because they are covering the system (the logistics leader that is synchronizing business hasen't hired enough pilots).
Maybe it's just the fact they know that they can't refute that they are scabs or will be on whim of the company (see post above).
Strike fund loaded and ready!
P3 Matrix
Reality Check amigo…. YOU were hired as a line-crosser; YOU will be a scab unless you decide not to cross the picket line that WILL appear sooner or later in this contract or the next (multiple unions). Until then, your job is to salute and mop up when the man tells you to… or rationalize union busting tactics… or simply twist the facts.
With all due respect Mr. Manager, you are either a scab from before or you are going to be a scab. Not that I hold that against you, but it’s just a testament to the cloth you are cut from or will be tailored from. That brings up another thought. Did you fly struck goods when the UPS employees struck recently in Canada? How about when the UPS employees struck in the USA several years back? If you didn’t what percentage of your group still worked while others exercised their right to strike?
What do they call those that cross union picket lines?
Does the answer create a me versus them attitude?
Enjoy the kool-aid and the rationalizing of your existence.

It's interesting. UPS can't risk a strike and is making billions on the backs of a group of workers they treat terribly. At the same time our negotiating position is marginalized by the industry in general. I am amazed at the animosity which exists between the union and mgt. I am also amazed at how poor working conditions are; rodents in crew quarters, literally no place to sit in Newark because there were so many crewmembers there etc. Meanwhile the company does everything possible to discredit the pilot group in the media. How about a thanks for making us a billion last quarter and here's your new contract.

UPS has made profits in the BILLION DOLLAR range each year since I've been here (12 years) We have flown throughout the world, primarily at night, and have an exemplary safety record. Worldwide The internet is growing by leaps and bounds, people are buying more and more products online, all of which need to be delivered by UPS jets! The future is so bright it is blinding!!!! Yet UPS can't see fit to deliver a new contract after 3 full years of negociations???? I like my job and like UPS, but what are they thinking? eightmenout1 I truly hope your not associated with UPS....Its scary to think people at UPS may think like you. By the way, If the IPA goes away, as you seem to wish for, do you think the next day the airline can hire 2600 pilots and start flying? It would take a couple of years to train a new workforce, the qualifications of which would be highly dubious and dangerous. You show a lack of understanding of the pilot profession, we ain't driving taxicabs.

Hey There
Hey There,
I own a few shares of UPS stock and that is my dividend check that you are talking about. I don't want my nest egg pi$$ed away to fund pilot retirement plans and fat paychecks that no one else has anymore. The workers are just a tool to make the stockholders money. You guys seem to think that a company exists to serve the worker. The huge profits belong to the investors who took the risk to help fund the company. As a stockholder I want to see UPS match the pay and benefits of Gemini.

Eightmenout1,
Exactly how is the IPA "holding up" UPS? we're starting our 4th year of negociations, I believe up till recently both sides have been behaving quite well, but its time to settle, don't you agree? Do you expect the IPA to take a paycut? or slash benefits? the company has been making huge profits, so don't cry poverty....We're not asking for $350 an hour, just normal progression of pay as befitting a very profitable corporation. You speak like a child, do you even work for UPS? much less fly a Jet?
SkyHigh...If Gemini pay scales are your desire for UPS pilots, why don't you dump your UPS stock and invest in Gemini? Both of you forget that UPS pilots have been underpaid since 1988, and only recently has our pay been marginally attractive by default of all the Bankrupt pax carriers out there! PLEASE!!!
Have a Happy Holiday, don't get too wound up in all this stuff!
