UPS talks resume - Part II

MD11driver, you hit the nail on the head with your post.
It's about the money. Just as Southwest can afford to pay their Boeing 737 captains nearly $200 per hour (higher than a senior Northwest B747-400 captain!) and not be asking for concessions.

u know the sad thing is, every time the ipa guys get a pay raise, ups have to raise the bar for these useless managers also. I think we should intergrate the list and stick them at the bottom where they belong or ups should better it's relation with ipa so they can get rid of these wanna be scabs.
SCABS, your pathetic days are numbered at brown.

You are so out of touch with reality. The management pilots at UPS are every bit as good as line pilots and usually much better at flying.
Also, they will form the core of the new seniority list at UPS once the IPA is off the property. Then, if you are offered jobs, they will be at the bottom of the list. Imagine a 200K ex-captain making 26K the first year and having to say "Yes Sir" to a management guy. That would be pay back to the Nth degree.
Remember, UPS can and will replace you, if necessary.

The sad thing is that you are not very good at basic writing skills. Need I say more?

EDdie dip sh*t, Most managers have their check rides by their other scab buddy managers because they can't fly worth a ****. How many managers have failed their check rides this year. Like 20%! Because most were hired with no qualifications since everyone already on the line wont take the job. Why is it that 99% of the scab managers hired the three years were from off property? I thought UPS prided it self on hiring from within. Because a managers job is just like being a *****. Suck up when ever your told. And by the way, how's the crew stairs, catering, hangers, van transportation in OAK coming along? You guys are worthless. Just scabs in waiting. No one has power to change anything accept your boxhead boss from NH.

Eddie:
You are the one out of touch with reality. It's amazing how much of a kiss *** management guys are. They brainwash you freaks into believing that you are doing something good for the company, when all you do is sit on you lazy a** and push papers all day. And I highly doubt 4 days a month is going to make you such a great pilot.

Remember, my banker likes my "scab" paycheck better than the check you will have to bounce when you are on strike. While you are on strike, I will be getting paid my fat management salary while you starve. In the end, when I retire, I will be able to do everything I dreamed of doing. You will have to depend on medicare.

MGT Replacement Workers
The structure of UPS is that managers are not in our union. That was done for a reason. Any attempts to paint it otherwise is a waste of everyones time.
Management pilots at UPS know, deep down inside, that they were hired in such numbers as replacement workers. Plain and simple.
Otherwise, UPS would have structured the airline along traditional lines. Where everyone is hired as a line pilot. Then they revolve back and forth into mgt. They take a leave of absence from the union (inactive status), while in management, but return to the line and the active union member status. Its that simple.
Here's a typical UPS manager at work. First, he busts on Brownie for his writing.

And there is the duality of UPS management. And the stupidity. We see it every day on the line. 10% actually do a good job. The remaining 90% are just waiting to show their colors when we go on strike.
UPS management pilots, you were hired as a replacement worker. It is the reality. Can't you clearly see that? Everyone else in the room can.
