I'm thinking about applying in April because I'm trying to keep my options open for a flying career as we all know the airlines are still tumbling around. Does anyone that flies for ACC care tell a little more about the avionics? Autopilot? Are they all OEM from the day it left the production line? I've read the few posts in this thread about the airplane flying with a ton of ice on it and someone who turned off ther radar to barrel through known storms. My last question is, does ACC listen to their pilots decisions on Go/No Go or flight delaying weather.

Avionics are Collin Pro Line radios, fairly confident that their the same as what were stock in the King Air and B1900's. No autopilot. It does have a Flight Director with HDG, ALT, V/S, IAS, NAV, APR/GS, you just follow the bars. I've used it once in the last month for continuous light turbulence. Yes, OEM, with the exception that GPWS and Radar Altimeter's are uninstalled. Some planes have Trimble VFR GPS. Its all NAV, VHF, and NDB as far as avionics. An HSI and RMI per pilot. About the autopilot, I was disappointed when I found out in the interview that these planes dont have autopilots, but ya know what? This plane "will" make you a better instrument pilot for it! I think if I make it to the majors I will hand fly the aircraft until cruise level off, not as what most due at 1000'AGL or so. Yes I've seen the pictures of the Shorts 360 that diverted to Charleston, WV only after taking off from Beckley, WV, they experienced severe icing; its normally a 15 minute flight for the Shorts in between BKW and CRW, so it was BAD! I am an F/O so I am not the one making the decision, but I have been comfortable with the GO/NO GO decisions of the 2 captains I have had.

Do you guys still have N360SA? It was the first 360 and I flew it when it was brand new for Suburban Airlines many, many moons ago.

The FAA registry site says we still have it as does our FOM. I'm getting a vague recollection if it. Will ask around. We have quite a few in various states in repair/disrepair so it might be in some odd location.

Thanx for giving me a new mission.
