Itonically, I once flew in the cockpit with pilt who went by the name Dutch, and on a stop in ANU, he asked the kid visiting the cockpit that very question. That was my Pre-World days.

Good luck those of you hiring, WOA seems to be a good place for the pilots to work if you don;t mind seeing th world.

Latest bid just came out. There are 38 empty slots. MD-11 FO, DC-10 FO and DC-10 SO.

Pay rates:

Now MD-11 CA $150.50 Mar 2008 $155.02
DC-10 CA $140.92 Mar 2008 $145.15

FO's and SO's are paid a percentage of CA pay

Year 1 FO 40% SO 40%
Year 2 FO 54% SO 43%
Year 3 FO 56% SO 45%

Insurance $121 family/$75 single increases a max of $25 in 2008

Contract is amendable after 2008.

I'm happy to announce that I'm starting class on the 16th in ATL. Guess I will have to get a new handle. Thanks to Dutch and JonnyJetprop.
I interviewed with a couple of other JAL engineers. Felt like old home week. The World experience awaits....
