Cool HOME BASING could mean tax dollars out of your pocket

Talk to ATLAS guys about issues with home basing. There are tax implications if the company is sending you from your home.

Worth looking at, but, make sure you don't suck up the tax liability on the cost being construed as a "benefit" that is abled to be taxed...

Make sure that the tax issue is defined and not later shifted to the crewmembers if thinking about implementing this.

Default Atlas Gateway Basing

Actually, Atlas does not have home basing, but gateway basing. Gateway is taxed when airfare or hotel is going to base/domicile only. If you are being sent to a city other than your base and do not touch the base, you are not taxed.

Homebasing is a different story and not sure of the tax implications - World or Gemini, other homebasers... what is your tax liability?

No tax liability. We have a paper base that all trips start at, and then the company makes a 1 min movement from that "paper" base to our home, then we fly from home to where the trip starts.

Cheers,
WG

Exactly. Your base is your local commercial airport. The tax liability is the same as you driving to your nine to five at home depot!
