Because getting to the left seat and dogfighting can sometimes be one and the same...................

No, saying you won't play for the team that drafts you, because you're too good for them, makes you a spoiled brat. What team you play for has nothing to do with where you live.

Let me guess. You made WB FO within a year on property, are a proud 32%er and are a spoiled brat? Or are you just a "richard" by nature?

Actually, as a big Manning family fan, I think that was a well thought out, possibly visionary, plan to help Peyton and the Colts win a Super Bowl.

Look what a monster SD turned in to - without Eli. With him, not sure Indy could make it by them when the inevitable meeting would have occurred.

Seriously, I believe Archie was calling those shots. I would wager he would do a lot to help one of his sons avoid the type of career he had.

Most dads would. Well, maybe not Travis.

You have NO IDEA of the stress of growing up on the streets, then getting paid millions to play a game that can cripple your poor body for the entertainment of the masses. Its SO HARD to try to keep one's cool under such pressure, and the best way to do that is with a little blow, some weed, a bunch o' b*tches to get nasty with, and then let off a little steam with some friends at the dogfight. But you know the only reason they do that is because we so tirelessly exploit the man for our own selfish entertainment. We can go to Vegas, have a Chardonnay, and get together with friends for a BBQ...how can WE demand so much out of these fellas? Heck--how many of us have had out of wedlock sex? Those b*tches just want to grab them a meal ticket so they tries to get knock'd up. Heck--these dudes is the VICTIMS here. Can't you see that?
I will see my single vote for Albie as moderator. And, I'd like to raise it, ah - what the heck - all in!!! Every vote I have, can buy, steel, borrow....and no, those are real proxies. I don't know why the signature looks the same on all of them.

Finally, someone who truly sees the light.

Blah, Blah ,Blah!!! Any chance you could start a separate post for your cultural/sports diatribes? That way those of us interested in the MOAB could more easily skip them.

I guess I could have...thread creep. Sorry.

On the other hand, I suspect the MOAB won't be. It will be a "plink plink" bid. The question in my mind is how many guys will bid FO in Hong Kong and Paris. Anyone care to start on a pool on the empty/open seats at the bid close?

We're getting a fair amount of converted MD-10's still, there's rumors of a couple more MD-11's out there, and I know the Airbus guys are getting a bunch of new aircraft too.

There's going to be a decent-sized bid just to man those aircraft. The $64,000 question is this: will they downsize the 727/DC-10 at the same time, or will we hire again......

Did someone say pool?

My guess: All left seats get filled. Just for grins, let's set the over/under on the right seat at...oh, 32% by those already on the property.

I'm betting the under.

I guess my whole family is a bunch of losers.....pretty harsh assessment.

Nothing better than a tailgate at ANY SEC college football game on an autumn Saturday afternoon. Me and my family live for Saturday's in the fall. We may not enjoy the politics of sports but spending time with family and friends before a game is delightful.

GO VOLS beat Cal !!

I am/was an Auburn football fan, and the magic of an SEC fall is hard to beat.

However, it seems a lot of the Saturday heros turn out to be just poorly educated thugs. The student/athlete is a rare bird these days. Instead, we have the farm leagues for the NFL.
