The way I understood it is they won't call the August apps until they worked their way through the April apps.

How about the January window? Did the eval in March and still waiting for a call. Oh well, keeping positive.

Is the psych eval usually pretty soon after app, cause I haven't seen it yet. Applied 4/17. Just wondering.

An internal recommendation will add a point to your score. It doesn’t matter if you have 1 or 20 recommendations, one point will be added to your score.

Date of application within each application window does not affect the order in which you get called. Current window to close in October.

Still calling people from the April window, probably through the end of the year.

Can apply only once a year and need to reapply each calendar year.

Saying “no” to the ANC base won’t disqualify you. If you obviously have deep roots where you live now, such as you own a business, or there is a situation in which you would obviously not want or be able to go to ANC, be honest.

Because you are in the pool does not mean you will be called, you may never be called, sorry to drop the bomb, however the pool is small and the poolies are reviewed monthly.
Hope this helps.
Strato - most of your "answers" seem to be what I've heard as well. One exception is that some poolies might possibly never get called. Wow - that really sucks!

How did you get those answers? Are you working with Freight Dog? Are you working with the HR? We are just trying to know the facts straight from the source before we start "spreading new rumors" - something every pilot is very good at!

I'm not questioning your answers; I'm just trying to find out where you got them...Thanks.

Hey Freight Dog, how about the FE written. Took mine over 2 years ago. Do I need to get a new one to improve my score...When I get an interview or is it okay since I work for a 121 carrier? Thanks for all of your help and info!

As a long term poolie(2005) ,why bother being put in the pool if there wasn't any intention of being offered a class. That dosen't make any sense. I don't understand why that statement was made.I know prior to 2005 that there were poolies that were swimming and then the mins were changed. So if they met the new mins they had to reapply and of course not all poolies made the new mins so in effect they were poolies who were never hired. Also, I believe that the classes dropped off after 9/11 and many poolies floated away but I still believe that in times of classes that a long term poolie will still have a classdate . I have been happily wading in the pool with the understanding that HR will find a place for me.Its just taking longer than I wanted or desired but that is the design of their plan Am I wrong here? I know that there have been many long term poolies(24 months+) that have eventually gotten class dates. So please feel free to expand. Anyone? Freightdog, strato, and all others comments, insights and feedback welcomed.

a2b, have you attended a job fair? If I were you, I'd show up to one to show your face.

Thanks for the input. been to a couple ( once a year, was very low key) and was told not to bother since HR knows I'm in the pool. The standard line from email followups were Thank you for your interest, UPS reviews the pool to fill the needs of the company. I thought the same thing let HR know I remain interested, Still floating and the beer is cold in anc. Gotta admit it's a bit frustrating seeing a lot of my collegues that I trained getting classes while I continue to swim, but in the scheme of this business I have a good job and fly good equipment so I still have a lot to be thankful for. It would be nice to go brown .

You must have the patience of Mother Theresa...after 2 years with all this hiring I think the wheel needs more squeek!!! Especially with 747 hiring happening now...isn't that what you fly? Find a friend to visit HR asap.

How about if you want to get a job at one of the best gigs out there, just retake the dang thing?
