That's the one I was referring to. The House version, with the Age 60 verbage, has already passed.

You all are fooling yourself if you think any new law would or even could go into affect by October 1st. NPRM. 2+ years. Any wagers?

Both "Freedom to Fly" bills are still sitting in committee. Unless someone in the house put an amendment into a separate bill.....no action has been taken on modifying the Age 60 rule.

The very credible rumor I'm pushing is that the age 65 legislation will get attached to the FAA authorization bill and will pass sooner rather than later.

Could happen. Won't happen that quickly though, it's summer break time and Congress reconvenes after Labor day.

There is verbiage modifying the Age 60 rule in both the House and Senate's version of the FAA Authorization bills
S.1300 and HR 2881 respectively.

Senate version would be applied 30 days after being signed into law and doesn't consider retroactivity at all.
HR version is day of....and says must be acting as a SO (assuming over 60 when the bill is passed) to come back to a window seat {can also come back as a newhire with a new seniority #}

The not so credible rumor I'm pushing is that anyone caught on the property after their 60th birthday will be duct taped, placed in a box, sent USPS parcel post to Kotzebue, Alaska, then placed on an ice flow and sent adrift into the artic sea...thereby allowing the pilot race to continue unpolluted without snoring pilots with nose hairs extendeding down to their soiled ties who insist on repeating over and over all their reasons their being there is "the right thing to do..."

So I guess it just depends on which rumor you are pulling for...

Possession of nose hairs is a sign of virility in some cultures.

Take a look at the S/O training letter - I'm not sure there's enough duct tape or boxes on property to pack 'em all up. Seriously, do they all get together at the senior citizens club and talk each other into sticking around??

That's the rumor Foxhunter was pimping to me in the AOC.
