Below is information regarding schools in Hong Kong and Paris . In lieu of passing on the actual school’s guide for Hong Kong , I have written below on how to access that information for yourself.
South China Morning Post: www.scmp.com, scroll down until you see /Specials on the left side, then select the link for the Good Schools Guide. You will have to enroll in a 7 day trial subscription which is free. Once you enroll, you will be sent a confirmation email. Follow the prompts, then go back to the www.scmp.com site, log in, then go to the Good Schools Guide once again. Once you have the Good Schools Guide page up on your computer, select the link under the /Top Good Schools Guide Story labeled “Parents: be clear about what’s best…” Once you have that story in front of you, scroll to the bottom of the page and download the .pdf files under the school listings.
Information on preschools (fees, facilities, teacher qualifications): http://embhsc.hkedcity.net/kindergarten/?lang=e
Education voucher scheme information: www.emb.gov.hk
A guide to the region’s international schools, including HK and the mainland, plus a teaching and learning resource: www.shambles.net
The information for Paris schools is a bit harder to come by in single source documents. In an effort to get at least some information out, here are a few links that may help provide some information for you.
General information on the French school system: http://www.moving-to-france-made-eas...on-system.html
Some school information: http://www.paris-anglo.com/dedent/de...tion/index.php

I hope this little bit of information on Hong Kong and Paris schools helps out.

I don't know if anyone else saw it but there was an article in the Aug. 6th edition of Newsweek about schools in both Singapore and Hong Kong. Much of the same info as we have seen here but an even more onerous monetary requirement according to the article.

Here's the link to the Aug. 6th Newsweek article on housing and school costs in HKG and SIN. It is http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20011275...wsweek/page/0/. The rate that rents are going up in HKG is scary.
