You expect way to much from the uneducated. I gotta tell you calling TSA sreeners stupid is an insult to those who are really stupid.

I'm curious why someone would choose a profession and accept a job that has historically worn uniforms, one that is still defined in public by their uniform (ever seen a picket line of guys in shorts and golf shirts?), and one who's employer has agreed that as professionals they should look like professionals,......and then whine about having to comply with the standard? Only friggin pilots. I bet you other professions that wear uniforms, whether a standard one like a cop in NYC wearing a hat or a lawyer wearing a tie in court, don't whine and moan about this crap.
Just be professional and wear the dang uniform (whatever thatis) until your boss says not to or don't take the job....jeeze louise man. Sometimes it ain't all about "you".

LOL. When you need your IFR training, Ms. V, you know where to find me.
I agree with you but for those freight guys on long legs, it ain't a bad idea to change into your jet jammies and get a bit more comfortable. I don't think a box or one of the gang members in the cockpit are going to write the guy/gal up. The uniform is just to present a suitable and professional image to the customers as well as for identitying who's who on the ramp/in the terminal. In the deck at FL370 with 2000 NM to go, why not jump into some sweats and an old t-shirt?

I think flight suit/jammies like these would be comfy! Of course the colors would need some better consideration - (appologies to Mrs CS!)
