Default New FCIF regarding 1 month STV max.

So after opening the vote, the company has now stated, in writing to ALPA, the max STV would be 1 month.

We have no leverage?

For those who have not seen it yet, here it is, edited of course to remove the names of the author and authorization authority.

LOA and STV
FCIF 07-0409 (Vital)

Issued: 07/25/07 0131z
Source: OR
Suspense: 08/11/07
Approved: PC

Hopefully we are all aware of the LOA voting that began yesterday. There
have been some communications on the intention of the Company to only
inverse pilots for a maximum of one month in the new FDAs under the STV
provision. The Company is sending an official notice to ALPA stating
this as part of the LOA.

While this may or may not affect your decision, what is important is that
you vote. Apathy in the democratic process always leads to difficulties
later due to lack of buy-in/ commitment down the road. Everyone please
read up on the LOA and then vote your opinion based on fact.

Regards

It appears that this deal was never negotiated if the company can just send pen and ink changes and we just add it to the letter??????

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that what a bunch of us had wanted them to do (just do a pen and ink change)? Now that they've done that, are we really *****ing about that too? I've just about given up on you guys. I suppose that if they upped the housing allowance and included $20K per child, for education, but did it as a pen and ink change, that some of us would still complain. How sad.

I would still argue that if they fixed the rest of the LOA...STV wouldn't have been a player.

Hey, JJ---I've always tried to stress that.

Take it or leave it! I mean...oops....unless its 85% against. Okay--here's the deal. One month max. NOW! Take that or leave it!

Gotta love the power of communication!

This is only the second day of voting ... maybe they'll massage some of the other "rough corners" in this pig BEFORE THE VOTING ENDS? Personally, I think a bigger rent allowance and a bigger household goods move (500 lbs.???) would go a long way towards swallowing this bitter pill.

Now that we are voting on a different LOA, does the voting start over. Could we even change our votr if we wanted to? Sleepy or TonyC ... any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

Mark
