WHOOOO.....

Lets not get our panties in a bunch over some questions. We're all on the same side, that of finding answers to questions about this LOA.

Busboy, thanks for the SFS trip pairing info.

FDXLAG, after reading 12.D.1.iii, I agree with you...HK, to my knowledge, has not been addressed. This para states:

"... the parties shall meet and discuss whether trips assigned to that base should be eligible for construction under Section 12.D.1.c. If the Company and the Association agree, trips in that new FDA may be constructed under Section 12.D.1.c."

We could make the assumption that if SFS was covered, then Hong Kong will be covered as well. Now we're down to that black and white thing and trust. Afterall we are living in a new world of optimization.

I stand by what I posted previously concerning the realities of what will occur should it fail.
Fear of the unknown. Assume the worst. What is the worst? Why have they waited this long?? Paris has been a hub for, what, 15 years. Now the company whats to economize, at our expense, and if we don't play ball, what will they do?? Asia is even more interesting. The Chinese can't find/hire/train pilots fast enough to fill thier own airlines. I'd like to see FedEx open a CAN base or even HKG, offer NO housing, schooling, etc and put out the call for Aussies, Brits, Kiwis, etc to come a calling. They will have to do better than what they are offering us, and they will have less control over the product. Be careful what you ask for goes two ways, FedEx will open a can of worms if it trys to open an alter-ego airline, let alone does so.
