The SIG has agreed to the 2 hour ride. But that doesnt mean that they would agree to a 3+ hour ride.

.
Apparently they already have.

ira,

I meant that tongue in cheek. This is a direct quote from the company's loa information letter:

"There is no cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) and no currency adjustment calculations. We don’t have a COLA for LAX or ANC and the SFS pilots would owe money for lack of cost of living. Therefore, a COLA was not included."

I found that quote insulting and felt it insinuated that you should be thankful the company didn't make you take a pay cut to go to SFS. My apology if I offended.

Albief15;Your MEC is going to have to meet with the company again to accept/decline the latest side letter. Let's see what the next 24 hours hold...[/quote]

That is fine for the MEC and the company to work out this one issue, but my vote will still be NO!

So the 2 hr GT has been waived but what about the max 2.5 CH...if the pairing works out that the total GT to/from CAN is 6 to 7 hrs long does that mean you would only get 2.5 CH or is max CH waived as well?

Adjusted anually is key here. Do you recall the recent article stating that apartment demand in HKG is at an all-time high and rents went up 20% last year? Say they do the same this year.......a 5K a month apartment this year will cost 6K next year per month. So your fixed $2700 ($1800 after taxes) effectively becomes $800 after the landlord raises the rent.

I was more insulted by this quote, "Companies do ex-Pat packages to send people with unique skills to places they do not want to go. Unfortunately, we are not particularly unique (at least skill-wise)"

I'll have to update my resume and include "unskilled MD-11 pilot willing to work at any location worldwide for NO ex-pat package." I'm not usually insulted by JL's emails. I suspect the legal folks wrote this one and told him to sign hids name to it?

$2700 -- Tax paid by FedEx.
