But I guess if it wasn't for us overpaid, underworked pompass a$$es UPS would have really screwed the customer during Peak 2004. But as it turned out it was all just pushed under the rug and all you managers received your usual pay raises while we the IPA brothers and sisters continue to wait for ours.

Peak '05
UPS CPT and other like-minded manglers do not get it. Last Peak's gesture of good will is gone, when we did what it took to make things happen. You could've and should've settled a long time ago. Instead you chose to try to frustrate us. That frustration is turning into anger and bitterness.
Just wait until the Winter Storm of Peak '05 hits. It will, sooner or later. You will beg us "to waive the contract" or "help us get through Peak". You win we lose -- been there done that -- never again. Instead of having our cooperation when the next storm hits, you will have massive service failures all over the system. The IPA guys and gals will not waive the contract just to make service. The only "waive" you'll see from us will be from the hotel van on our way to crew rest, as we've just timed out.
This year is different. Enough is enough!

With todays full page ad in the USA Today you pretty much damned your cause with the Teamster Rank and File. You ought to see the message boards over this one. The dispatchers and Maint. will go with the IPA but very few others. Good luck fellas I hear United has a great pension. Hell stock went up today. It looks as if your public support isn't there either.

You know young man you can spout off at the mouth all you want too. Only time will tell the eventual outcome. But remember this as I stated in an earlier post:
<<<if it wasn't for us overpaid, underworked pompass a$$es UPS would have really screwed the customer during Peak 2004. But as it turned out it was all just pushed under the rug and all you managers received your usual pay raises while we the IPA brothers and sisters continue to wait for ours. Almost 2 full years amenable. It's going on 4 years since I have had a raise, but I still come to work and do my job. Nothing more, nothing less>>
For nearly 18 full years the line pilots have done all that has been asked of us. Why is it so hard for you or any other manager to see the respected worth in people? This is why UPS will never be a company where it's employees enjoying coming to work. If you have been around the airlines long enough you might be able to cite several cases with different airlines where the employee groups actually did something to say thanks back to their company. Lets see how smart you really are!!!!
Respectfully,
CW

You must be a total idiot or just can't read. The stock was down $1.62 (2.10%). Only the after hours trading was up by .20 cents. Get a life.

Something I have that few others in this discussion have is a very intimate view of how our operation works. I see on a daily basis of what happens, why it happens, and the outcome as a whole instead of an individual flight. You would be in awe if you saw how the company seeks, exploits, and abuses every little loophole they can find in the current IPA contract. The pilots get unnecessarily jerked around constantly for no other reason than a total lack of respect. But in the end they suck it up and make it work! As a true testament of professionalism and dedication to their job 99% of the time the mission is accomplished if safety is not a factor. Why is that? Because they are a bunch of "overpaid arrogant a-holes" or "selfish union scum"? No, it's because at the end of the day they know who signs their paycheck, where the profits are made, and why they are wearing a brown uniform. Let me tell you something, these guys have the potential to seriously throw a wrench in the operation if they wanted to play union games, but they don't. The job gets done better than any other group of pilots could do no matter what crap the company throws at them. In my opinion that is justification of them deserving an industry leading contract from an airline pulling industry leading profits. If you could see what really goes on, other than what you read in newspapers or other discussion forums, I truly think you would take a step back and realize why they are fighting for what they are and why solidarity amongst our unions is important. There is more to this picture and everyone needs to stick together. It's only a matter of time before any of us are in their boat, and the company would love nothing more than splitting the unions. In the end it's your livelihood too.

UPSDISPATCHER, thank you for those kind words and for supporting the IPA's negotiations. We look forward to returning the favor some day.
