These two clowns have been on this forum all day. First they went to "the women's warehouse", bought some cheap suits which are seamed with glue, tried to match some off-color striped ties, and demanded their wives iron some yellow pit stained white shirt. Then they put on as much "brown" flare as they could and waltzed on over to to the NASC. They sat down at their cubicles, looked at each other, and said "coffee break". They went to the cafeteria, sat down, pretended to talk about something important, then they went back to their cubicle. They then peered over the other 6 cubicles to the window and wondered what it would be like to be outside flying like a real pilot. Really, if your big boss J knew that you spend all this time on public forums rather than kissing up to your other 200 bosses, he would be very upset. Get off this forum, continue being the slaves and *****es of all those above you, and do your "undefined" jobs.

Airline pilots are such pompous asses. They think the world revolves around them. Actually, they are very unhappy people. By the way, I buy my suits at Brooks Brothers.

Ah yes, I got a good laugh when in the "dorsey" case the federal judge ruled that UPS managers are not managers after all. Since the have no authority to hire, fire or spend the company's money. Ask these two idiots when the last time they had any financial input other than filling out their perdiem log and rental car reimbursement form.

Even Brooks Brothers suits are fused with glue to give you guys that pressed-wrinkled look which shows all facets of your true professionalism. You even falter in your personal appearance.

Having read all of these posts one thing is for sure. We should all just sit back and relax. If Soyathink and UPS Capt. are both UPS managers thats fine. Everyone has there own opinions. Having worked for UPS going on 16 full years I do think my opinion counts for something. UPS is an awful company to work for. They pay well, have great benifits, etc. but without a doubt could care less about any of us. Even their own managemet folks think so. Talk to them one on one. They are more than happy to say so. The hatred comes from the top. If our CEO decided tomorrow he was going to change the corporate structure he surely could. For nearly 98 years UPS has been a company driven on fear and intimidation. If you two managers think I am wrong talk with anyone who has retired from UPS(Management or non-management). Possibly the two of you haven't worked with UPS long enough to realize this. If you have then geez I am wrong for once.
Now as to why the IPA desires what we are asking for. Here goes. UPS is a multi-billion dollar company. We the pilot group fly multi-million dollar jets around the globe in all kinds of weather day and night. We train yearly( some of us twice a year), we are subject to the rigors of the FAA,TSA and any other group who wants to stick their noses in to say what we should and shouldn't do. The Federal Goverment says that we must retire at the age of 60. Many of us spent a great deal of time with the military before coming to work with UPS. Not me, but never the less I did my time else where. My point here is and please listen closely is the fact if you want the most highly skilled, highly trained pilots then it going to cost you. But in the end the rewards will be far greater. Take a look back at Peak 2004. Who was responsible for that total meltdown? A line pilot, a Manager? I will give you two guesses. One of them isn't a line pilot. You would have thought from years past 1994, and I think 1997 that UPS would have had a snow plan in effect. But I guess if it wasn't for us overpaid, underworked pompass a$$es UPS would have really screwed the customer during Peak 2004. But as it turned out it was all just pushed under the rug and all you managers received your usual pay raises while we the IPA brothers and sisters continue to wait for ours. Almost 2 full years amenable. It's going on 4 years since I have had a raise, but I still come to work and do my job. Nothing more, nothing less. How about that new UPS fuel initiative? Why the heck should I try to save UPS a dime in fuel? If UPS really wanted a fuel savings program to work, they should reward all those involved with making it happen. The pilots, mechanics, the dispatchers, the loaders, etc. In fact, the only ones who seem to gain from anything around the clubhouse are you managers. Enough is enough.
The point of all this drivel is this if you want an airline where it's employees enjoy coming to work then treat us with the respect we deserve. Reward us with the contract we deserve. Think about this and then I will quit all the ranting. Sure the Chicago White Soxs won the World Series this year with the lowest payroll. Luck, Skill. Who knows. Probably both. But if history serves me correctly the New York Yankees are the winning franchise in baseball history. Why? Because they seek out the best players and reward them with the contracts they deserve. If the Soxs have any hope of a repeat it going to cost them for sure.
Feel free to seek me out anytime in the ASC. I will glad to sit down and buy you a cup of coffee.

Why?
> What ever happened in taking pride in your company and your job. Why did you guys want to come on board UPS if the company is so bad? What ever happened to working together. This is disgusting. <
SoYaThink,
Well DUH!!!! Look dude, you have to be new around here to ask such a question. Lay off the KoolAid and look at what the company, in the form of Scheduling, and Manpower Planning, does. The frequent disregard of contract provisions and the building of crew schedules to limits that were allowed into the contract for use when emergencies arise - not for everynight use. And why is that? Oh, why that is due to Manpower Planning not hiring enough people.
Just so you know, everyone was delighted to be hired at UPS; then we started living out what the company pukes out in the way of schedules. SoYaThink, I don't know if your head is in clouds, or sand, or your lower body cavity, but get a clue. We don't have such a huge number of grievances because these jackasses are such a great company to work for - it's because they are NOT.
Remember: UPS makes Fortune's Most Admired (by other CEOs who have huge envy and wish they could pull the same sh!t on their own people) Company every year. Here's a perfect Special Project for you: Scrounge around and see how many times, if ever, UPS has been named a Best Company to Work For. That will be a good learning experience for you and every other "de-minimus" managerial new hireling.
Have an eye-opening learning experience.

You obviously don't know much about the non-skeds. FredEx is flying the priority mail stuff, that is it. Lots of other mail contracts out there, and for Christmas is the Cnet mail contract. I have not heard where it is going to be out of this year, but it is only one phone call away from finding out.
I don't know who you are, I suspect your some ground manager working around the airline.

I'll put a name to you soon. More of you guys talk to us than each other. It is amazing the back channels that work around here. I would be careful that you own guys don't support us by the majority.
