FDX 401(k) Contributions
I was just reading the latest 'AOD Today' (don't ask), and I read that starting January there's a new company match for the 401(k). Dollar-for-dollar for the first 1%, then 50% on the next 5%. This is better than the $500 per year we get now.
My question is, does this also apply to us pilots, or just employees not covered by a CBA?
Sluggo 63
(now I have to add the 63, so I don't get confused with the confused soul who posted all those names/employee numbers)
My question is, does this also apply to us pilots, or just employees not covered by a CBA?

Nope.
I posted this a couple of weeks ago. I saw a letter about the 401k posted at one of our ramps. Sent a few questions to our R&I folks.

Their new 3.5% match (to go with the new "pension" plan for non-pilots) is effective Jan 08, same date our B-fund goes to 7%. The don't seem to give us anything unless they can afford to give it to all employees (ref. medical ins. cap increases from last contract for example).

Questions about the B-fund.
1) When are we eligible for the B-fund...immediately/3/6/12 months?
2) Where exactly does the money go...into our 401K account...same account or seperate?
3) Does it go into the same contributions as our 401k account...ie...Primcap, Windsor, Wellington???

6 months for the 401k (aka Pilot Retirement Savings Plan)
essentially 12 months for the B plan (aka Pilot's Money Pension Purchase Plan)
excerpt from the Pilot Benefit Book on B plan eligibility
If you were a crew member on May 30, 1999, you automatically became a plan participant on June 1, 1999. Otherwise, you automatically become a plan participant on the first day of the month coincident with or next following:
The attainment of age 21; and
The first anniversary date of your employment with a Controlled Group Member, if you are credited with at least 1,000 hours of service during your first year of employment. See "Scope and Guidelines" for a listing of Controlled Group Members and “Hours of Service,” below. If you do not complete 1,000 hours of service during your first employment year, you may do so during any Plan Year starting with the first Plan Year beginning after your date of hire. You enter the Plan on the first day of the Plan Year next following the Plan Year during which you completed the required 1,000 hours of service.
