See what happens...
See what happens in the practice bid then roll the dice again.
I got the impression there was someplace in vips to go and learn a little more, other than percentages, but I don't see anything.
I guess we just update our standing bid......

You cannot be forced out of ANC (or any other domocile) to make room for an excessed (in this case 10 pilot). They publish vacancies for every bid. In this case they will come from the various A/C types as the Co. sees fit. These will be new positions, not replacing anyone already there. They may come into the domocile ahead of you as their seniority dictates, but not in place of you. Read; CBA 24.C.6

DL, True but highly unlikely (possibly in violation of CBA) due to MD-11/10 fleet continuing to expand. Also in such a case excessed 10 crewmembers would not be able to bid the second excessed A/C, or domocile (ANC) because, as you said it would be in excess as well. Cheers......

FL, the way I read that contract section the excessed -10 guys could bid an awarded an excessed position. The only restriction is that they cannot get a position that would cause an excess at an FDA-24.C.6.a. and c. Sec C says, 'If an excessed pilot is awarded or assigned a crew position that is also in excess, the number of pilots to be increased accordingly; provided, however, no pilot may be awarded or assigned a crew position at an FDA base that would cause an excess at that base.' I don't actually think this will be a problem for -11, just trying to put out the proper info. The -11 fleet is expanding, but they didn't post any vacancies on this excess bid and I don't think they have to as far as I read the contract.
