It's a great pilot group. I don't miss the crappy schedules or the less than RJ pilot pay and benefits but I do miss the crews.

Hello, the one thing holding me back from interviewing at ATI is the pay. I am at a regional, and my seniorty is very high (<10%)... I make good money and get my schedule the exact way I want. I'm sitting on a two-year flow to UA. If the pay at ATI was only a little bit better, I would've highly considered it and ditched my pay+flow+seniorty here. I am looking for answers to sway my opinion on joining ATI

1. Is it true you switch between a night/day schedule every 24 hours?
2. With all your LCA and instructors going elsewhere, how is the training department now? is it still good even though there are a ton of new folks in the department, or is it bad and more failures than before? How's your guys' pass rate? How many sims are given?
3. If you're on for 16 days in a row, does that mean youre off for 15 days in a row?
4. ANY word on a new contract at ATI?
5. Are all your planes fully equiopped with glass cockpit like AJ, or are they still running steam guages?

1) Not every 24 hours but several times each rotation. It sucks.
2) Training is about as good as Appendix N&O can be. If you are coming from AQP you will be disappointed.
3) 16 on, 12 off. Crappy.
4) New (old) CEO says pilots are overpaid.
5) All glass now (but some simulators are steam gauges)

Stay at your regional and wait for United unless you have a rich family and do this for fun.

Thanks for the response.

Yeah, in this case, I think I will stay here based on those answers

Not to dog on ATI, but...

If you want to fly Amazon boxes on the 767 or 737, why not apply to Atlas.

We have split lines, many with 15-20 days off per month.

Schedules are rather stable, few difficult circadian shifts.

Better pay and benefits.

Onboard catering, even for a 55 minute flight.

One, maybe Two leg days...rarely a DH at the end unless Scheduling is feeling "experimental and frisky."

117 rest rules, since we could shift to flying pax at any time on rotation.

That is a good three years away, barring a decision to simply accept the company's offer, which is roughly where it's going to end up in three years anyway.

Why anyone cares about this is beyond me. That and the AQP thing.

Default New President

Mike Betson, ATI COO, promoted to President. Jim O’Grady to retire.

Also saw last week that ATI is advertising hiring DECs now.

Folks at ATI, thoughts (safe for public forum) on the leadership change and DECs?

Mike running the show is a positive. He wants to grow the business and pay market wages. However Hete likes to micromanage so it's unclear how much atonomy he will have.

I thought Hete left a few years back? Corrado taking over? No?
