If you can make a case for ATI over the other ACMI gigs. Go for it. I’ll grab the popcorn.
Feel free to get the last word in. Bowing out…

30yrs making 200k in 1998 25yrs ago flying a DC 9 around the Midwest. Instead of Afghanistan like K4 for 75k. 400k now with seniority. Stop lumping everyone into what you think is a sh!t sandwich. It's been a great ride at my ATSG company. 4M+ in a 401k and company retirement. How long have you been enjoying EVERYTHING? Your airline payed sh!t not so long ago. Mine didn't.
And if you hate ACMI so much, why do you haunt this fourm? Why do you care where anyone but you work? Find a hobby.

Lesser person stuff is bordering comedy. If you’ve carved out a life at these ACMI gigs. Cool beans. These ATI posts have been geared to prospective candidates. That seems to have flown over your and the other peep’s head.

Perhaps you just attempted to suggest that those considering ATI, or any other ACMI should only use the company for a springboard to the vaunted legacy nirvana, but that would be more assumptive arrogance. It's precisely because the conversation is geared toward prospective candidates that a rebuttal to your chutzpah is required. Certainly those who are comfortable at ATI (et al) need no convincing one way or the other, nor are they particularly interested in discovering what they already know: that they are happy where they are. It is exactly for the prospective candidate that my comments are directed.
If the prospective candidate is curtain climbing his or her way to the legacy and using ATI (et al) for nothing more than a type-rating springboard, then that individual couldn't care less about this thread or the comments therein.
There are plenty of pilots, however who are quite happy at ACMI carriers. Or prefer them. Not because those aviators are unhirable elsewhere, but because of choice. Not necessarily because they rank in the upper seniority, because many who aren't senior, still enjoy the ACMI lifestyle, variety, flying, experience, and yes, quality of life.
You call it "comedy," but another poster to whom I was also referring, called it "song and dance" and referred to the ACMI pilot as "the same as regional lifers." The comments were made arrogantly, and disparagingly. Not comedy. Perhaps you find ACMI pilots comedic, or funny, instead of "lifers," or perhaps it's simply laughing at them in a backhanded way. It's arrogant.
I made no case for or against ATI.

I will wholeheartedly agree with many aspects of the job being just right. Positioning to work...and the airline perks, day off bidding, absolutely some great people to fly and work with. I too enjoyed the work overall.
However...making a "ridiculous amount of money" is a bit of a stretch...even as a 12 year+ CA.
Moving on has worked out really well "FOR ME". Even at year 2 pay, and without trying very hard, I'll make more this year than a 12 year+ CA at ATI...not inclusive of the direct contribution.
As hard as I try, I've been trying to get my new-hire sim partner at ATI to jump ship. But it works for him in the now. I get it. He'll be a friend for life regardless. There are many others at ATI that I wish well, but there's no secret to why some very dedicated, beloved and respected, pilots have left ATI in the last couple of years. And if they had any hesitations, it certainly wasn't over the "ridiculous amount of money" that ATI pays.

I interviewed with ATI this morning with human resources and then a half hour later, with a retired captain for a technical portion and was offered the job about seven hours later with a class date in January. Very relaxed hiring process and I like the 14 days on and 12 days off schedule
