And the final questions:

"Hi, we have a class date for you. It is for the MD-11 in HKG. Do you want the job? If you don't, we will keep you in the pool. BTW, did I mention that we don't plan on hiring for other domiciles for the next two years?"

Take the job. Bid out when able. I think it would be more like take this or leave it, we've still got thousands waiting for the call. Passing on a class date would close the door forever.

No pain, no gain.

LOL, true true! I had a buddy quit UAL after 2 days because he got 747 SO HNL. Too far from his girlfriend, who ended up dumping him anyway. Took him a couple more years to get hired at DAL!

No, it doesn't feel good to do that, however, I was just repeating Leroy's question, and trying to expand it, but you already knew that. I didn't read that part of the contract, as it doesn't apply to me, unless the age 60 comes about rather quickly. Sorry again for the outdated information. What I said was how things were done, pre-contract.

Wow JJ ... now you're really showing your age! Or maybe it's the Alzheimer's?

I'm an MD-11 Capt and we've had a contract almost my entire FedEx career. You really need to join the 1990's or maybe just retire to the "Old Pilot's Home." I hear they have free diapers and drool bibs there?

Looks like an opinion stated as a fact.

On a different note, remember when DW said during the contract negotiations that we didn't want to B scale the new guys ( guys not yet hired actually)? Wouldn't accepting a crappy move package do just that? - if you buy into the fact that most wouldn't bid HKG FO.

Well Mark,

I guess that just goes to show you that maybe you've not been here all that long, after all. Just ask the bottom 20 or 30 guys who were junior manned to the New York base, for two or three years. As for the diapers and drool bibs, send some along as you new grand daughter could use them right about now. Thanks for the offer, it's most kind of you.

Okay, I'm going to throw the BS flag again!! Just because they talk funny and have attitudes, it doesn't make New York a FDA. When Subic (a real FDA) couldn't be manned by guys on the seniority list, new hires did go there. At no time was a real FDA junior manned. New York on the other hand...

Read your contract. They can open HKG and CDG right now without any LOA at all.
We already have a crappy move package. If any forth coming LOA has gains in it, at least look at it before you make up your mind and further make what might be a very bad tactical mistake for the FDX seniority list pilots.

What if the Housing Allowance ends up being $3000/month plus or minus like is rumored on this forum? What do the SFS based folks get now?...........anyone, anyone.........Nothing!!

If an LOA will pay a monthy stipend (even a low one) and we vote no...........the company opens both domiciles up with the Current FDA package?

Boy you will really show"em
