So they would have the type aircraft listed under M/M/S, a reference to 119.21(3), the operation configuration would be “All Cargo”, IFR/VFR, Day/Night, and 0 under Seats Demonstrated and Number of Flt. Att.
Yup. You're right and I'm wrong on the ops spec. For some reason I was thinking about A032, but I didn't look it up. My apologies Sir. My point is they would have to add "freighters", which is way more complicated. They would probably have to do freighter proving runs and a whole lot else. It's a big deal. I don't see anyone buying the gas to haul half a load of freight from Shanghai to the U.S. The time required to load/unload this thing would mess up the logistic plan of any large freight operator. I really don't see it as marketable.

I agree adding all cargo operations to their ops specs will be a long drawn out process. And that won’t happen till a bunch of new manuals and procedures are signed off by the FAA.

They will also need a hazmat program, training et cetera et cetera, or they will be a very unsuccessful cargo carrier if they are going for no-carry.
