Hub Meeting Tonight - MEM

The reason I'm ****ed at the MEC is that they were looking out for the older folks, like yourself, not what the majority of the crew force wanted. In your example, you can retire under the current contract, with all its provisions, at age 60. Care to bet that when I hit 60, in 21 years, that I will be able to do the same?? Feel free to be as mad as us "youngsters" are, just understand where most of our anger comes from.

I still feel the union is somewhat looking out for the youngsters in this issue...the rule is going to change and the union is hopefully going to try to put protections in for us young guys...like the fact that after 25 years of service you no longer acrue retirement and protecting the B-Fund..among other things...
