Geez I can't wait till you're 65...It's a long time to listen to you flap your piehole. And to think I was one of the first ones to "let bygones, be bygones" and welcome you back into the fold when you rejoined.
Perhaps you could take some actions that would belie the evidence of poor breeding and take your victory with grace and humility.....quit stirring the pot.....the unity you seek to destroy bought you the last contract.....you couldn't have done it with out us "silly boys", "junior", and "sons". at least 25% of the crew force has been here for 6 years or less. Though you old guys may have paved the way in the past, the future viability of this company, and thus your retirement check (when you actually take it) depends on us. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
My only solace is that when you do retire, you will be that much closer to your expiration date, saving the company all kinds of money, that can be paid to me on the contract negotiated after you leave.
Remember, during the last negotiations, we didn't throw you old guys under the bus.....and we haven't.......yet.....About the time you are getting ready to turn 65.....we will be negotiating again for retirement benefits....and there will be even more of us young guys voting.....The more you rub it in now....the longer we'll remember.

Now when the guys come back they are not coming back to minimum wage.
As a side note, why should a Capt (read senior) work for an additional 50K a year less just so you can keep working? Sounds like you want them to pay you to keep your job?

Isn't USAir recalling? Wonder what payrates those guys are going back at? From your previous post, if you think Mgmnt would save a few jobs if everyone would work for less I believe you are a littlie misguided. Mgmnt will get all pilots to work for as little as possible then furlough what ever they need to after the deal is done. At some point the pilots have to say this is as little as it gets. Furlough if you have to.

Had nothing to do with rates, hours worked. I'm fully aware how the business works. Time will teach you also. Don't confuse my junior status with me being a young man. And yes, a majority of the captians I worked with would have taken a pay cut (worked less) to keep fellow pilots working. The MEC went against the majority. Where have I heard that before?
Real gains only come from a strong union. When the leadership differs from the majority it weakens the whole.

That would be funny...if it wasn't so pathetic. I guess some of us are just more important than others.
Which is why I think it's inevitable that we shouldn't be surprised when, one of these days, we are all in line flying the "FOXHUNTER ONE" Arrival into Mempho.
I figure within the next 30 days.
