Only Hangup I have is that some airlines keep certain pilots onboard despite poor performance.
Of course there are bad pilots of every color, sex, nationality and all that but a white male can never sue for discrimination, easier to let go.
I worked in the training department, seen it first hand.

. I suppose that would be a consequence of history, assuming what you say is true.
Though, with only your word, I find it hard to believe the head of an airline training department is scared to unsat deficient pilots because they could possibly claim discrimination. I
Happens now and then, see links to 3 lawsuits on this board posted yesterday.
I am guessing you are new to the flying business?
The very incident we’re talking about proves your theory incorrect.
I got no bone in this fight, just presenting a few observations from 37 years of flying for a living.

I think you do, but say whatever makes you feel better. I am prepared to move on.
I wonder if anything will come of this. We'd be seeing more outrage if he wasn't flying a freighter, but he did fly pax for a couple years before this incident.

And you would notice the captain deployed the spoilers, then transferred the controls. The FO never stowed them until they nearly stalled. Boeing's stall recovery procedure would have worked just fine, leaving the autopilot engaged, hitting toga and shoving the nose down at 40° isn't in the manual. IMO if the deployed spoilers would have been briefed during the transfer of controls from the captain to the FO the chance for a apparently weak pilot to screw up a stall recovery would have never occurred.
