Have you seen their pay? Go for Kalitta at least.

What about the pay? First officer pay at Kalitta ranges from $117 to $213.
At National is $120 to $205

If your point is that Kalitta is a bigger company with more fleet types, I understand the point. But pay wise, these two companies are pretty similar.

Now add 401K and various soft pay items and its not even close.

No real dog in this fight, as I am an Atlas guy. But having previously considered both these Airlines, Kalitta seems to start pulling a bit ahead on MMG year 2, then really picks up the pace year 4 and beyond. However, a 12% DC vs. Nationals 3.5% matching on the Employees 4% is probably Kalitta's biggest advantage (4% more in your paycheck and 8.5% more in your 401k every month). Per Diem also favors Kalitta; eat better on the road or pocket the savings.

Now, I have no idea if actual earnings at National far surpass MMG and realistic earnings at Kalitta. What I can say, is that budgeting for anything more than MMG is unwise.

401K is the weakest part of National's compensation. Frankly, it is downright atrocious IMHO.

Hi all,
Whats the time frame for recruitment? I put an app in a couple weeks ago, got an email saying that it was being reviewed by the recruitment team and I'd be notified of outcome, since then its been crickets.

Also, any murmerings about how the cargo world is looking in the US with the possibility of a recession in the media?

Thanks in advance....

If you are interested in National, apply online or through LinkedIn. Then find out where they will be next and just show up to one of the events. They usually interview you on the spot. Also do your research about life on the line. Schedules are beyond crazy on the 747, but is not boring! The crews are very cool to fly with and we do some interesting flying on the 74's. The A330's is like another job, stable rosters and not a lot of flying. The triple7's in anyone's guess.

Any bets on which comes first: 777s flying the line, Boeing OPT, or the 747 Sim being operational?

Hello.

Have a few questions to ask and hope to get some answers if I am not bothering anyone.

1.
Is worldwide home base program still going on at National?

I am confirming this because on the APC profile page, it says home basing is allowed in the US without mentioning worldwide.

2.
If the answer is yes about worldwide home basing program, living and commuting out of ICN is possible at N8?

I am asking this because I see lots of 5Y, K4, ups, fdx metals sitting on the ground in ICN but I rarely see national's.

Tavel to/from work during my days ON at National seems very attractive deal, but if ICN is not one of their regular destinations, I guess they let me commute via commercials once the chief approves basing in ICN?

3.
At N8, trips always start and end in MCO?

4. How long does it take for Captain upgrade these days on 74 fleet?

Thank you for taking your time on my questions and hope to hear from someone.
