If you're new:

- Don't block your calendar,
- Don't pick up disputed pairings,
- Wear an ALPA lanyard.

I've got a pretty independent nature and I don't say the above with any pleasure. But it is what is. Welcome to the happy family.

Gurby,

Good questions.

There is no written policy. It's always been an option as far as I can remember. In my opinion, there is, maybe, only one aceptable reason to block your calendar - to deny your spouse, ex spouse, or soon to be ex spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend, significant other, etc the ability to see your calendar for security and/or financial reasons. Short of that, you're hiding something for some other reason.

I heard the work release program ends the end of May and he'll be able to get his passport back then.

Well, I'm sure that's what they are telling you. I heard the guy is going to have to stay until we get Asia configured for the A-390

And there'll be no need for seats, since everyone will stand up and grab a strap, subway style. $49.95 JFK-LHR. Bathroom token's an extra $35. Virgin's probably working on it...
