Default FDX Reserve Leveling on Carryover Trip

Since we are having so many contract questions, I thought I would add one:

If you have a reserve trip that carryovers to the next month (also a reserve month), how is leveling figured? I had a trip last month that left on the last day of the bid month (4 day trip). I would have thought the leveling would be much larger in the second month since the vast majority of flying was in the second bid month, but it really didn't work that way. Just over half of the trip credit was credited to the second bid month. I read the contract, but since I am not too smart, I have no idea what it said......

This maybe should have been an ask Tony topic...

You should have been given the carryover value towards your leveling. What was the carryover value of the trip? (Not the trip value but carryover only) You might have to go to the previous months bidpack to find the exact number for that trip.

FDXer,

To make it more difficult, it wasn't a bidpack trip but an X pairing. Flew around 3.5 hours on day one (no duty rigs), then another 18 or so on days 2-4 (new bid month). Total trip credit was around 24 hours.... Only got leveled for 13. Not saying it was wrong, but I was just curious how this was calculated....

Call up scheduling and ask why you were not leveled using your carryover trip. 4+30 or so a day for R-day value would be 13+30 or so for the 3 days in this month. You should be leveled with the exact amount of carryover not R-day value. Let them look at it and please post the response. I'm curious...

Sounds like it is a TAFB trip, but it's hard for us to tell. Post the trip number if you want someone here to figure it for you.
