apply now.....just let them know during the interview that you are close to the minimums.

The 208 folks show between 0700 and 0830 and leave between 1030 and 1330.

The ATR folks show at 0800 and leave at 1400.

Second ATR on the way up, might do FAI, might do ADQ, might do SE, so that schedule is yet to be determined, possibility exists for SE overnights.

If the 208 is your thing, now is a very good time to apply, down 50% at this base.

The ATR is saturated with folks, even when the second one shows up. Usually takes a year or so to get into that once on property.

Very good, thank you. Is it unrealistic to want to get into the caravan and stay there for the foreseeable future? This will be my third career and I'm just looking for something I like to do at this point. I've read through the history of this post and can't really gauge an answer on this question. Is the consensus that the 208s will be replaced with the 408s? If so, the routes and schedules will change, right?

I prefer to never leave Alaska again but I'm not afraid to, I just have deep roots here and am very invested.

What is the weekly schedule like for Anchorage?

Sure, the 208 is viable. We have a few lifers and the rest of the slots churn regularly because folks leave for disparate reasons every 6 months.

As of today the 408 will not come to ANC. But that is up to FedEx and they do what they do and we hear about it a day or so before things happen.

Is it typical to go through the whole interview process, told you would hear back in one day to one week, then not hear back either way? It's been over 3 weeks. Asking for a friend..
Thanks..

I would say, no. I interviewed for SAN ATR gig on 1/31 and heard back exactly one week later, just as they told me. From the first call I received from them to the CJO was just over 2 weeks. Class date not till April though...

Thanks for the info.
Glad to have learned about the operation beforehand.

Default AFW pilot base

For those in the know:

I am curious if anyone can give a rough idea of daily scheduling out of AFW?

Is this base exclusive for the -500 series?

Is a quick turn around or RON in a hotel somewhere?

Average hours flown every month?

Thank you for the reply!
