Default UPS pool swimmers and ex swimmers???How long?

Since UPS has quite a quirky pool setup and you never really know where you stand once you start swimming, can we share a little intel on the pool numbers.

How long have you been in the pool?
If you've been given a class date or started this year; how long were you in the pool?
Does anyone know how many are in the pool?
Why are they interviewing so many and working the job fair circuit so hard if they've got a large pool?

Thanks

For reference:

Circa 2014

App to hogan, few days to a week. Took hogan 1 week after invite.

Hogan to interview invite, 3 months, then 1 month from invite to interview.

Interview to pool letter was 1 week.

Pool letter to initial class call was 3 months then another month to class.

I've heard varying timelines from many different people. I've even heard of a gap of 6 months (though only from one person) between the Hogan and the invite. Most of the variability is in the pool; as stated in other threads some rock the interview and make such an impression that they get a class date on the day of the interview others will get placed in the pool and potentially never get the call. I think most are in and out of the pool in less that 3 months these days. That may expand a little as hiring slows over the next few months but I would guess it will shrink again when hiring picks supposing hiring picks up again in January as expected. I don't think they want us to understand the hiring process. My suggestion would be to keep doing your part, keep hitting job fairs, and let them know you are ready for the call and willing to start tomorrow.

In the pool for about a month give or take a week. Applied several years ago and worked the job fairs for about 3 years. Hogan to interview invite around a week or two.
