Sfs-hkg-ala
The SFS-HKG-ALA sequence is the perfect example of why we need the SIG. The shame is that 1) it was ever built and 2) it will be flown by line pilots. The good news is that the dispute was resolved very fast (prior to the bid opening) with a new soft parameter. My problem is that I still hear folks bad-mouthing anyone who picks it up. The dispute is over, this will not be built again ...there's no reason a reserve should be forced to fly this sequence. Since it isn't being revised to comply with the new parameters this month...I would prefer anyone who wants to test his endurance...go for it!!! Would it be better for a reserve, possibly who has never been to any of these locations to be assigned???? Not IMHO

The dispute is Not over and would you care to make bets on whether you will see this again?
It is still a Dispute plain and simple.
Yes it is better for a reserve to get assigned these pairings. All these are Big credit pairings and Kill that reserve for the rest of the month.

What's it like in your world, where you depend on the goodwill of the company for everything? Thank goodness you were a CBA employee when they took everyone else's pensions.

The dispute over the SFS-HKG-ALA sequence is over...that is a fact!!! There is no further review. Whether the new "soft parameter" will be honored is an open question. The Sig seems to believe it will, simply read their comments heralding this accomplishment in reference to this sequence. The disputed tag in this case kept the pairings off lines, that is its only value. Will Mgmnt press to test with further optimized routings...you bet!! I don't think anyone on the seniority list is naive enough to believe anything different.
