FDX 2007 Hiring Rumors

I am a personal friend of Hauptmann G and can attest to his abilities, etc. When you fly at a place with a few guys, it is difficult. I am tired of everyone trying to "get mine" and then having an attack of amnesia on how they arrived at their new dream job...news flash...NO ONE CAN DO IT ON THEIR OWN! Some help would be great. I live in Chicago, I own a car and would be willing to develop a friendship with someone who would be willing to help me through this process that seems to be eliminating qualified people because they did not fly in the military. Skip me if you like but help some one. By they way, I happen to know my friend served his country, he just did not fly an airplane to do it. Show him a little respect. Let's really try to help each other out and stop talking about it.
Oh yeah......and my sponsor wasnt a "higher up the food chain guy"......just a regular line holder FO. It can be done.

Exactly my point. I didn't appreciate your misquoting me, so I thought you might understand that feeling a little better if someone misquoted you. Guess it worked. Maybe next time you'll not quote out of context. And for the record, MaydayMark didn't threaten anyone (that I know of.)

LMAO. Well, you certainly are good at spelling Jetjok! (Too bad you don't have any hobbies so that you would want to retire). I'll tell you what ... how about if we research each others posts for typos. The one with the most buys the other a steak dinner? I figure I'm a winner because you start with 548 "formally"s. You crack me up man!

Fed up,
Are you nuts? Why would someone who doesn't know you decide to put his reputation on the line and write you a recommendation? Do you realize how stupid that sounds?
Look if you have a sponsor, have him introduce you to his friends that work there. If he is a decent guy, he will have friends that would probably help you out. You have to have flown with your sponsor, not necessarily your other recommendations (although it would be helpful). If your sponsor really wants to help you out and you are good friends, he will help you out. If he doesn't do anything, he probably doesn't want his name attached to you anyway.
Stop the begging and use your sponsor. If not, get a job and throw boxes or something.... If you are that great of a guy and pilot then you have nothing to worry about....

Honestly, I admire the willingness to do anything to get the job...'you can trust Gary, he bleeeeped my bleeeeep last night.' But to expect to find someone willing to do this, much less have the recommendation hold any water is quite unrealistic.
The best advice is to have your/his sponsor introduce you to his friends at the company.
