Jakal,

I prefer not to think about you having intimate relations with my avatar!

A friend of mine is over in corp and he said most of the ones they have hired lately have had lots of LR45 time coming from the fractional that has FX in the N number

Don,

Forget it. You aren't qualified. Those guys really fly, whereas all you do is "manage" the jet, from takeoff to landing. By the way, is this post about that friend of yours?

No, looking forward for a family member who is less qualified and younger.

Mins are same as the line. A qualifier: there is a secondary 'qual' (Captain, light jet) that is designed primarily for internals, that allow hiring with 1K turbine time. (not 1K turbine PIC).

Most people getting hired have serious corporate qualifications; many have Lear 45 types and experience. And I think the biggest group that are getting hired are not from Flight Options, but FlexJet. (I don't believe Flight Options operates any LR45s) To be clear, most are not from FlexJet, but I think there's no other single place that has supplied as many of the people at Corporate.

BTW, whichever set of qualifications you get hired under, the interview process is exactly the same as the line. But in order to actually come to the line after 3 yrs, you have to have 1K turbine PIC. So if you get hired under the Light Jet qual, it'll be a LONG time before you can come over, since it may be several years before you're senior enough to be company PIC, and build 1K hrs as such.
