FDX 2007 Hiring Rumors
#101
I agree, and the current job I'm in for example is a small operator where none of the previous employees I've flown with have gone on to places I consider to be of any interest (ie, UPS and Fedex). It seems that when you come from a regional or military squadron, those individuals have a much bigger networking base to start with. As Fed up has stated, we are merely trying to find new options and ways of getting the network thing going. Reasonably, no one is going to expect any "hand out" or rec via email. This I concede. However, no one it seems wants to even meet or grab a beer and get this thing going.

There was an individual in my interview group that was from FedEx Corporate. It was my understanding after a certian amount of time, that you get an interview. This may be a better approach than the box throwing routine as you can stay current on the aircraft.

## MAR 2007 and all the beer you can drink is on me"
Free beer, if that doesn't get a few Pilots to show up I don't know what will.
Good Luck

Actually, if you get hired at Corporate, you do three years and automatically come to the 'line' if you want.

That's because the line has the right of refusal for any corporate pilot in the interview process. The interview is the same; it's just which side brought you in for the interview.
