We can't help you unless we flew with you. Throw boxes or cold call the training department.

Mayday Mark,
There is not one ounce of negativity directed towards any FedEx pilot here. I thought that you guys better than anyone would understand the frustrations involved in getting into FedEx. I am not bashing anyone, the union included. If I did'nt care, why would I be trying so hard to come fly for you guys? I never implied anything negative and hope that I can foster relationships with you guys. I am looking for advice and help. I cannot throw boxes: not because I don't want to, I can't afford to. I have thought of it though. I will sit back patiently and let the system do it's thing. It's a tough thing to do when you're at a dead end job. That's ALL that I am trying to say.

Fedexbusboy, Jetjok and the other few, thanks and talk to you soon. G, I don't know what else to tell you but we'll just have to do it on our own or continue to "grovel" at our dead-end jobs. Peace-out! Fed-Up
This sounds like you're implying that only .1% cares. When you make generalizations you are insulting the whole. 99.9% were in your shoes at some point in their career prior to FedEx. We all know your pain and frustration with networking.

I would suggest some humility. 'Appreciate the input' or 'Thanks for the help' and go about your business quietly. Its just being courteous and professional.

Good Luck with the networking. The hard work will pay off.

Default Thanks

Thanks and I do appreciate it. Having a bad day and I pray every day for it to pay off. I obviously was not clear : I know you guys care but there doesn't seem like there is much you can do to change a bad situation. Gonna go have a beer. Fed.

You cant afford to throw boxes?? Do you really want this "dream job" or not? If you want something, go out and get it. I'm sure they need some help out on the ORD ramp.

You remind me of a psychotic ex-girlfriend with all of your *****in and your explanations on why you're *****in. You sound gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) with your fostering relationship crap.

So you're looking for advice, here's some for you. Work harder, be professional and for god's sake, stop begging.

BS! I did it for 18 months, and while it was tough working for only $7.85/hr for 17-40 hrs a week, I did what I had to do. Yes, I also had a reserve job, but I also had a paper route, and worked in a kids' indoor playground (similar to DiscoveryZone), and leveraged every credit card I had. You save, prepare, streamline and do what it takes. Seemed like a step backwards at the time, but here I am 12+ yrs later flying to FRA tonight, in the left seat! Just depends on how bad you want it!

On the ramp I worked, we had a guy that flew the F-27 to EWR and back. He would depart RIC about 9pm, return about 5a, run inside, change clothes and punch his time caard, and come out help unload his own plane! What ever it takes.

I've lost count of the ways in which you've generally insulted me. Normally I'd tease you about "are'nt" and "did'nt", but you're painting yourself into such a pathetic little corner that I don't have the heart. The final straw, in my book, is holding yourself up as too . . . good? . . . to throw boxes. Nah, you didn't say that, you said you couldn't afford to throw boxes, right? In other words, it would cost too much, in your book, to lower yourself to that level.

You better give Delta a call.

You want to make your bad situation better? Try a new screenname.

What are the chances of joining a "bigger" group? I always thought of the jobs I was applying for as steps on to the next level and considered how each step figured into the big picture. Now all that being said... a little good luck sure goes a long way sometimes....
