Letter of Recommendation
A friend and my former CFI has asked me to write him a letter of recommendation to include with his regional applications. I flew with him for 9 months working on my SEL and then regularly over the next year getting checked out on new aircraft and for additional proficiency until he left for a piston twin operator.
I'm not sure what regionals are looking for in a letter of recommendation, so I thought i reach out to see if anyone has and thoughts/experience in this area.
I have no doubt that he's capable of smoothly making a transition from a simple piston twin to the more complex regional jets.

You can google LOR formats. In this case, you need to be careful with your approach since you are writing a LOR for a nominal superior (your CFI) vs. the more common situation where you do a LOR for a subordinate.
Just be careful to address his merits from your perspective as a student so that it's credible.
