Envoy vs Spirit... Where would you fly?
Guys here's the thing
I have 3000 hours flying abroad
and an A320 type rating
I have one offer from spirit as an F/O based in FLL and I also have an offer from envoy based at DFW flying the e175.... I don't care about the money... I care about my career, although I feel the embraer it's a downgrade, I'm kind of in love with the idea of flying for American Airlines....
What would you do?
Thanks in advance for your advices

By the way, you didn't get an offer to be an FLL based first officer. You have to wait until your seniority can hold FLL, and that will take a few months. Are you sure you're for real?

If you have to ask the question of Spirit or Envoy, there's a third choice for you!

1. Envoy isn't AA. Eventually you'll flow there. I think estimates are 7-9 years.
2. Large U.S. airlines don't care that you have a specific type ratings. In the U.S. it doesn't help you get a job any faster unlike overseas.
3. What's your age? 50+ go to Spirit. <30-35? Go to Envoy. 35-50? That's the tough decision range.
4. What's your long term goal? Spirit will be better for at least the first 10-15 years, Envoy then AA will be better long term. Want a AA/DL/UA job? Do you have a four year degree? Right now that's a must, so if the Big 3/4 is the goal head to Envoy then AA.
5. Hoping to do long haul w/b flying? Envoy/AA.
6. Want to fly domestic n/b forever? For the shorter term (10-15 years?) Spirit is better. But even AA will be better for the long term. In either 10 or 15 years (I forget the year researched but I think it was 10 years), using the current bidding patterns, a new hire today will be in the top 5% of n/b FO's at every base and often will be in the top 2-3%. In general guys leave the n/b's at AA as their seniority increases.

Thanks for all the positive feedback
For what I read here I'm definitely choosing spirit.
in response to some haters that say this is not serious, I am definitely serious I just don't know anything about the American aviation scenario, as I said before I have foreign experience because I'm not American, I just happened to marry one.
See you on board NK
Happy landing everyone
