Envoy vs Spirit... Where would you fly?
Guys here's the thing
I have 3000 hours flying abroad
and an A320 type rating
I have one offer from spirit as an F/O based in FLL and I also have an offer from envoy based at DFW flying the e175.... I don't care about the money... I care about my career, although I feel the embraer it's a downgrade, I'm kind of in love with the idea of flying for American Airlines....
What would you do?
Thanks in advance for your advices

Go to Spirit and apply to AA. Don't rely on flow to get you where you need to go.

I would say Spirit, but what are the odds of his being hired by AA when there are so many other applicants from off the street applying as well, be they military, other regional pilots or LCC pilots? He may then be better off at Envoy unless he reckons that he is highly competitive enough to land a job with them.

Spirit. I've jumpseated on them a few times. Great crews, fun people. They look out for you, try to make sure you get on board. Yeah, people complain that they're a greyhound bus-type carrier, but they get paid well enough and if their new contract goes well the pay will be really good.
Yeah, definitely Spirit. Apples and oranges.

Flying the 175 at Envoy? Unless things have changed recently I thought that new hires weren't getting the 175. I'd go to Spirit.

I understand your thought process, but also realize that if you do the math you'd be ahead financially for about the next 20 years by going to Spirit.
