No, but very rarely does it make an impact because most days are credited 4hrs of flight time at minimum. I regularly get 18-20 days off with 80-85 credits. You want to be truthful? How about 4yrs right seat in the RJ at Skywest .

The upper management on the other hand is a legitimate concern, I won't deny that to anyone.
You work 10-12 days a month and credit 85 hours? You average a credit of 8 hours per day that you work?

Upgrade at SkyWest is actually around 2.5 years right now. I don't think it will stay that low, but your statement isn't accurate. Bottom line is that the thing that GoJet used to have to make itself potentially more attractive than other regionals (quick upgrade) isn't something unique to GoJet. Many airlines are now offering a quicker upgrade, better career progression, and better pay. So unless you live in a GoJet base I wouldn't even consider it. And even then I would seriously consider other regionals.

I have a couple friends at GoJet and that schedule is possible, however it is far from the norm.

Forgot about Instaface. I spoke with the guy in charge of interviewing and at the time he said no. Maybe because we are getting more apps then we thought? I like the skype better than the phone.

From what I hear, they are using it for current Mesa and Air Wisconsin pilots, and maybe a few others. I think they are trying to get the Mesa pilots that used to be based in the CLT area or currently based in IAD. As for Air Wisconsin, I guess they are trying to grab as many as possible.

A fairly good source says that the company is going to go ahead and announce a new base soon, and will open Q2 or Q3 next year. I guess they figure if they announce it now, they will increase the number of applicants that want that new base.

Well, whatever it is, I just hope it helps soften the blow for those making a lateral move. Going to be tough.

I'm a mid level captain and this is what I've been bidding over the past few months. Can't speak for the guys below me as I'm not sure to be honest. If Skywest has a 2.5yr upgrade right now, then things are indeed moving quickly. Guy I know just upgraded after 4yrs in the right seat not too long ago.

I'm a junior captain, and even I had a 79 hr/ 16 days off line in August. I had a reserve line for sept, and because of our long call reserve, I had 16 days off if you include the days scheduling didn't use me.... Shoot, I'm on long call reserve right now, typing this from my couch in my PJs... So, that's 3 days they haven't used me this month so far!
