He's not. I saw him the other day during a crew swap.

You mean you are making more in the right seat of the MD88, correct? The significance of your statement may be lost on those who think you are comparing two left seat seat positions!

Uhh, no. A to A. However, most of the FOs seem to be making more than me, so I guess it is even worse. (?)

EK makes wayyy less than you think. I was shocked when friends over there started comparing notes with me.

I just flew with a 717 FO at Delta who came from Emirates. Couldn't be happier. He said Emirates was a sweatshop.

Holy crap, so based upon the pay scale listed ($126K/yr for all 10 year captains), you can make more as a second year FO at the majors (and FedEx, UPS and SW), than you can as an A380 Capt.

To the OP---I don't think I would spend too much time thinking about being picky about which major you're going to choose, any of them are going to be a huge step up in pay. Almost immediately.

Sorry, no disrespect, just assumed you were talking F/O. I think you are selling yourself short on the disparity of Emirates captain pay to your seat. Even one of your F/Os would be clocking $11,200 a month with no greenslips (assuming 12 year; I know Emirates scale is 10 year, but the U.S. standard is 12, so I ran with it). That's an 80 hour assumption, which I'm told is about average for the company when factoring in sick, vacation, etc. With a very little amount of additional effort, your F/O trumps Emirates 380 captain including the various allowances.

I guess it's great experience to be a WB captain at Emirates, but you'd have to be an F/O first (I know the do or have done direct hire PIC, but that's an even starker pay contrast). I can't imagine any U.S. pilot having a better career by wasting time at Emirates versus starting at a good U.S. major or legacy. They will have to up the ante to retain pilots, I would hope. But if they are hurt by a revolving door, it couldn't happen at a better place.
