That's scary, if you can't get it right even after the first time there's obviously some kind of issue that needs to be addressed or you need to find another career. Sounds like a great recipe for bent metal or another smoking hole in the ground.

Lie and trust me, they'll find out. This is a small community. If they do, nobody can do anything for them.
I just prefer to tell the truth.

At Mesa, we have failures from everywhere, AND OUR FAILURES have gone EVERYWHERE.

I'm not doubting they will find out at all, but it still wont matter, you will not be fired.

I won't disagree. Even washout rates are extremely lower because training depts. are bending over backwards and doing everything they can to get people through training successfully

I would also get to be friends with your classmates. One of them probably has prior 121 experience, or at least some jet time to help you with the basics of operating jet aircraft. Study together. Trust me.

Step One: Go to Skywest.

Step Two: Start studying the quizlet cards before you start training. Do 10 to 15 cards at a time and go through them 4 to 5 times until you have them down pat. Then go to the next 10 to 15 for the same thing. Then through all 20 to 30. Then to the next 10 to 15 until you have it all down.

Step Three: Pay attention in class. If you are falling asleep stand up and walk around while you listen. Study ahead.

Step Four: Study the quizlet cards, over and over.

Step Five: Turn the flying into written profiles and know them step by step. Focus on the flying. Thrust to 70%, then to T/O power, "Set Thrust" PM "80 knots" PF"Check" PM "V1, Rotate, V2", all the way through. Know where on the instruments you need to be looking for the information.

Step Six: Quizlet.

Step Seven: Repetition.

Step Eight: Redundancy.

Step Nine: Repetition.

Step Ten: Take a long flight to Hawaii or across the country while sitting in a coach seat. Keeps you in one place to focus on the quizlet cards and the flying profiles.

Step Eleven: If you are falling behind have the TV removed from your room. Lots of coffee in the morning and throughout the day.

What if it was a first class seat to Hawaii, instead of coach? Still good?
