Default Next step

Hi guys
I have my CPL MEL (IR) from the US
I'm trying to do my ATP pls what step do I go through
How many exams am I to write
Can I do all the exams now even though I have just 270+ hours

Sorry if the question is dumb but I'm seriously getting confused

Get 1500 hours and complete the training listed in FAR 61.156. Google it.

Isn't part of getting an ATP the fact that the applicant must have an understanding of the qualifications required for the license?
