Default OBAP Job Fair Question

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me about the upcoming OBAP job fair. Hypothetically, if someone was to have a ticket they couldn't use and I wanted to use their ticket would I be allowed in? As in, do they check IDs at the door or do you just hand them a ticket and walk in?

Thanks.

I don't think it is like tsa checking but they do give you a badge for you to walk around with so it would have the original name on it.

I would like to know the answer to this too, I may have a ticket that I won't be using after all.

On a different note, for anyone who has done these before, is it possible to meet with an airline who's time slots are all filled up? Just wondering if they can accommodate walk-ups (probably with a lengthy line)......

If you use someone elses ticket yes you should be able to get in. (In some cases even without a ticket, thats not guaranteed though) So many people go to OBAP fairs now that they use a "lottery system" when letting people in. For Example, if 1000 people attend the fair, from 9am-11am people with ticket numbers 0-200 can enter, then from 11am-1pm 200-400 can enter. At least thats how they did it this past March in Vegas.

As far as whether or not you can walk up to Major airlines with time slots that are all filled up, the answer is yes and no. For regionals, anyone can walk up, people arent beating down their doors. The Majors are a little tougher to talk to. If the lines too long, you could probably eye one of their recruiters down and pull them aside when they're mingling around not working a booth.

I'm not sure how they can implement this next week, especially when registered attendees could sign up for specific times to meet with the airlines. My appointments stretch out through the day on Wednesday and Thursday, and it would suck to have to miss some of them because I wasn't allowed into the job fair at a certain time.

The info sent after I registered said just to show up early and get your pass at the registration area, then you are free to come and go all 3 days of the job fair.
