Not wanting to make assumptions but since most airlines career pages don't specify....

Looking at Lasergrade testing website there are two codes for ATP written -
  • ATA (135)
  • ATP (121)
I am assuming that the airlines want you to have ATP and not ATA ?

Also it seems that an single engine ATP does not require the CTP course but the ATP multi engine does ? again I'm assuming airlines want multi ATP

Lastly, it looks as though some regionals will accept you with just the written which is one reason why I ask and the other reason why I ask is just to confirm what I am looking at in Part 61 since airplanes class ratings are markedly more complex than rotorcraft. Splitting hairs on verbiage the way I read it I can get a single engine ATP and meet qualifications but that doesn't pass my common sense test.

thanks

I have not heard of anything specific regarding this. If you have a multi ATP, it's all the same on your certificate.

This is true.

Yes they will accept you with just the ATP written. If you already took the test under the old rules, prior to July 31st 2014, they can use that test for your ATP rating under the old rules, as long as the written exam is still valid (within 2 years). If you do not have a current ATP written exam and are seeking a multi ATP, you must complete the CTP prior to taking the written exam.
