Default Medivac vs 121

I've got opportunities with 135 medivac in the pc12 and endeavor. I'm not sure which way to go. Married with kids 3000 hours.

Thanks!

Not particularly versed in either, but you will undoubtedly have a better home life doing the medevac thing. Your career progression will be less defined and have a definite glass ceiling, however.

What do you want to do career-wise?

ASEL TPIC will not get you a major job unless it's in a fighter.

The above pieces of advice are spot on IMHO!

The real question as said before is... WHAT DO YOU... Want to do for 25 to 30 years?

Remember, at any airline, major included, seniority is EVERYTHING... the sooner you get there, the sooner you have people on the list below you! Good luck, these are the tough decisions in this career!

I strongly considered MEDEVAC too (albeit in Helicopters), but the pay appears to lag behind 121 in/for the long run. Having said that, if you get a gig where you want to live that can be a very good deal. Money isn't everything, but it is something. I'm opting for 121 with the full knowledge that all choices have their +'s and minuses.

I fly fixed-wing MedEvac and it is great for family life or if you want a work schedule that is similar to a normal career. I work 4on/4off 10 hrs but that will be changing soon. If you have ever though of getting out of aviation or diversifing your income, MedEvac will give you that opportunity. You will have time to dedictate to education, side business or family life.

Take on what ever job matches your career goals and QOL desires. Personally, I don't have shiny jet syndrome and hope to fly FW medivac and RW medivac if I could get the RW hours to do it.
