Dispatcher training

FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification Course | Flamingo Air Academy, also in CVG. My GF went there and got a job right away. She is also a part time dispatch instructor for them now. They send you the material to learn on your own for 2 months and then then you have a 5 day ground school CVG before your checkride. It is very cheap because you do most of the learning on your own, so I would only recommend it if you are already familiar with aviation.

What are the approximate job prospects? I am considering earning my Dispatcher rating. I have heard that it is almost completely impossible to find a job at any decent 121 company. The majors are almost entirely out of the question, since they allways require 5 years experience? Like that?
What is the real scoop on this issue? Any prospects for a guy with a 4 year degree?
