MEI Add On.

MEI Add On.
Hey guys quick question. I have my commercial multi add on next week (ready a CFI and CFII). I only have 300 hours to go until I reach R-ATP mins and was wondering if I should even bother with the MEI or just pay up for the rest of the rest of the required 50 multi time. Is the MEI a big plus for the regionals or do they not care that much as long as you have the required time? Thanks.

Have filled out MANY applications and sent MANY resumes. I can say with confidence that NOT A ONE asked how many $200 burgers you have but they want to know what ratings you have.

Slightly off topic because it does not help the OP, but I would suggest in many cases getting your II and MEI concurrently. All the flying can be done in a twin (doesn't take much flying for II), and the check rides can be taken the same day. For me at least this method was more expensive than either rating by itself, but less expensive than getting both ratings separately.
