MEI Add On.

This was kind of my thinking ass well because as of right now I have yet to fail a checkride and kind of want to keep my perfect record.

Yes, if you can afford it.
It's another box to check when you apply to majors, and it make you more competitive for check airman jobs at regionals, which will make you significantly more competitive for for majors.

You should never be scared of failing a check ride. Be prepared and be confident. (Yes I know sh*t happens and people have bad days but that's life. And if you go to the airlines and have a 20-30 years career you are bound to bust a ride or two over your career, it's not the end of the world; unless of course you make a trend out of it.)

Hey guys quick question. I have my commercial multi add on next week (ready a CFI and CFII). I only have 300 hours to go until I reach R-ATP mins and was wondering if I should even bother with the MEI or just pay up for the rest of the rest of the required 50 multi time. Is the MEI a big plus for the regionals or do they not care that much as long as you have the required time? Thanks.
That said, how long it will take you to reach the 50hr after your MEI training and while giving multi instruction?
If the MEI option will get you what you want, by the time you would normally finish the 300hr, I think you should do the MEI.
If the school where you teach does not have many students for multi ratings and it would take you an extra year to get the 50hr, then consider the other option. Time is money. Seniority is important.
My understanding is that in today market the regionals would not care if you have an MEI.

MEI Add On.
It wouldn't take long to reach the 50 hours mark with the MEI. My flight school is one of those that has nothing but foreign students and they all do they're commercial multi only. The reason why I'm even debating it is because I would only be even using it until around January when I believe I will reach the 1,000 R-ATP requirement.
