This should have been done decades ago. But I digress.

To the OP: my personal feeling is that you should always self-disclose everything, no matter what. I've seen people in your circumstances get hired, then fired for not being honest. A friend of mine with two (silly) arrests just got hired by a legacy. It's not just you. Better safe than sorry.

This doesn't mean anything. LEO's can access both fed and state information. Consolidating isn't really changing anything except maybe a keystroke or two.

Wrong. If you have been given a citation that in some states constitutes a misdemeanor. Just because you haven't been fingerprinted and booked doesn't mean it's not on your rap.

However, in some states(California) protects any juveniles by saying you don't have to disclose those once your an adult.

Charges on the FBI background check won't show up unless you were fingerprinted. Statewise I am not sure what shows and what doesn't.

Rule of thumb. If you were cited, booked or arrested you can safely assume it will show up on either state or fed record checks. So you might as well fess up. And what a civilians see vs. what an LEO gets to see is different. LEO's will see everything, even juvi stuff.

And how do I know this? I stayed at a holiday inn last night... JK.

But if it ends up in the FBI Db, and you apply for a job outside CA, you may not be protected.

Also if a federal agency asks a question (ie TSA) you need to answer the question literally, and not try to hide behind any state exclusions. The fed does not need to honor state laws which conflict with federal laws.

I agree with your statement 100% Rick.

Op,

Any LEO will tell you if you got cited or booked it's there for the viewing. Honestly, you may NOT have to reveal it on a job app. But do you want to get a job offer and be in ground school only to be pulled out of class and lose your job because you weren't honest(intentionally or not). I'd rather have them tell me on the front end they don't want me, that way I wouldn't quit a job I already had only to be out on the street with nothing.

How do you acquire your state records?

How do you acquire all of the records the airline will get? From previous threads I found out how to get the FBI, NDR, and state driving records. Is there anything else?
