Hello, need advice on next career move.......
Hello All,
About Me:
I am 45 yo with a 2 year degree. I worked at American eagle for 2.5 years in both Saab and ERJ, and left there for Comair where I flew the CRJ. I had to make a move from Eagle to Comair due to the fact I was next on the chopping block. Once at Comair for 2.5 years Delta went bankrupt and again my job was at stake so I had a part 91 opportunity. I currently fly 210 hrs a year and average 2.5 days work per week as lead pilot. My TT is 6000 plus hours lots of PIC, with 3 type ratings.
Why considering a move:
I recently had missed a trip due to a virus, and my boss wants to implement a new policy that when sick you get NO pay, due to the fact that he does not want to pay for me and the contract pilot. I am sick at least 2 times a year so depending on the trip it could add up.
My Thoughts:
I live in Delaware so was thinking of Spirit Airlines or a commuter with quick upgrade time out of philly. Usair was not interested for whatever reason, might be lack of a 4 year degree.
ANY ADVICE WOULD be appreciated. Thanks in advance.......l
