trying to move up in the world..
Hi everyone. I just joined this forum, and maybe it's cheesy, but I just want to introduce myself. I couldn't find an official place to make introductions like I've seen on some other forums, so I figured this would be as good a place as any.
Actually this being the "career builder/questions" section, I'll go ahead and say that my #1 goal is to land a job with Fedex, and from what I understand, this site has more info on reaching that goal than any other site I'm aware of, so here I am. So my question WOULD BE related to how I can improve my chances of making that happen....but I've already read umpteen pages answering that question and think I would just be beating a dead horse.
I've had my app in the system since they opened the window about a year ago, scored well on the FEX written, and have the required flight time including a few years of nighttime freight operations. I would think my chances are good, but I also think what's hurting me is the lack of heavy jet time and no sponsor. So I'm here to scrape up any more info I can on the subject!
About me, I'm flying a Lear 60 at the moment in the Midwest, part 135. I've been flying as a jet PIC since 2005 on a few different types (Lears, Beechjets, Phenom, etc.) and now I'm just waiting and hoping for my big break. So now you know a little about me.
Again I know this all sounds kind of cheesy but I just wanted to give a little background on who I am and what my goals are before jumping into the mix. And of course any advice is always welcome.

Best of luck in your quest. If I had it to do all over again, I would have gone to that UPS interview in 1990. 90% of the B.S. we deal with every day is passenger related. Don't forget...boxes don't biatch.

Thanks Fish. I'm not ONLY focused on working at Fedex, because I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket. But it is my #1 goal. Believe me, if UPS offered me a job I would have no problem working there either (but since they're not hiring right now, not much need to worry about that) Whatever job I can land that is going to be the best for my family, I'll take. But HOPEFULLY it will the one that I really, really, want.
